DS Business Consulting provides primarily advice on obtaining finance for business, and mortgages for individuals.
This advice also extends to preparation of loan proposals and representation at the financial institutions when required.
David Downes is the owner and founder of DS Business Consulting, and holds the professional designation of CPA CGA.
He started his professional career at KPMG in Barbados, and attained his professional accounting qualification over the seven years working in its Audit department, and later on in the Consulting Department. His professional career continued by leaving Barbados for the Cayman Islands Audit Office, managing various financial audits and projects.
During the ten years 2009 to 2019, David once again expanded his experience in the financial industry working at CIBC FirstCaribbean in the commercial banking division. He provided corporate finance for the bank’s customers under his purview. Within that period of 10 years, a one-year stint was spent at the bank’s Head Office in Barbados, managing a portfolio in Receivables Management.
Prior to starting DS Business Consulting, he worked for two years from 2019 to 2021, at the CICSA Corporative Credit Union Limited. There he served as the Senior Credit Risk Manager in charge of the departments of Loan Origination, Disbursements and Debt Collection.
